Jaimerson Xavier will not join Bhayangkara FC in Liga 2. The former defender of Persija Jakarta and Persis Solo has signed with PSBS Biak, a promoted club for BRI Liga 1 2024/2025. Jaime had been with Bhayangkara FC during pre-season and even scored during a friendly match against PSIS Semarang. Nevertheless, he decided to commit to PSBS for the new season. The 34-year-old has signed a short-term contract for the upcoming season. "Everything is finalized, and he will be joining the team shortly," said Yan Permenas Mandenas, President of PSBS, in a release. Jaime has already joined PSBS in Biak and is expected to be ready to play against PSM Makassar on August 16, 2024, at Stadion Kapten I Wayan Dipta, Gianyar. "We want to strengthen our defense, and hopefully, Jaime will complete and bolster our backline," added Yan Mandenas. Jaime becomes the eighth foreign player at PSBS following Alexsandro from Brazil, Abel Arganaraz from Argentina, Gabriel Esparza from Argentina, Williams Lugo from Colombia, Takuya Matsunaga from Japan, Jonata Machado from Brazil, and Julian Velazquez from Argentina. Jaime first played in Liga 1 in 2018. In his debut season, the Brazil and Portugal league veteran led Macan Kemayoran to the championship.

Dewa United is looking formidable for BRI Liga 1 2024/2025. In their preparations, Tangsel Warriors delivered a crushing blow to Persik Kediri in a friendly match. Dewa United triumphed with a 4-0 victory, showcasing their strength. The match took place at Stadion Kebo Giro, Boyolali, Central Java, on Monday (29/7) evening WIB. After a goalless first half, Dewa United stepped up their game in the second half. The Tangsel Warriors took the lead with a goal from Septian Bagaskar in the 48th minute. Three minutes later, Alexis Messidoro displayed his skills, adding a second goal for Dewa United. The midfielder, who played for Persis Solo last season, capitalized on a pass from Taisei Marukawa to score. Messidoro, recently joined Dewa United, continued to impress. Dewa United scored a third goal through Egy Maulana Vikri, assisted by Ricky Kambuaya, in the 70th minute. Not content with just one goal, Messidoro also contributed an assist, setting up Alex Martins for the fourth goal in the 80th minute. As the defending champions, Persib will host Liga 2 champions PSBS Biak on August 9, 2024, at Stadion Si Jalak Harupat (SJH), Soreang, Bandung Regency. Persib will return to SJH for the second week of Liga 1, where they will face Dewa United on August 19, 2024. Dewa United will have to be the traveling team for Liga 1 next season due to the Indomilk Arena in Tangerang being under renovation by the government. On September 23, 2024, Persib will have a big match against Persija Jakarta in the sixth week, to be played at SJH. From the eighth week onwards, Persib will no longer play at SJH for Liga 1, as they will move to Stadion Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA), which is currently under renovation. In the early season transfer market, Persib has not been very aggressive. Maung Bandung has only signed Mateo Kocijan, while Tyronne del Pino, Robi Darwis, Eriyanto, and Satrio Azhar have returned from loan spells.
